New Life Members & Bursary Recipients Announced

Congratulations to our newest Life Members, Petrina Jahnz and Gail Elliott.

Petrina has been Musical Director for shows such as Footloose,The Secret Garden, Sweeney Todd, Urinetown and Bad Girls.  She has also been the Musical Director of our choir, Right On Cue, since it formed in 2008.

Gail had played clarinet and saxophone in most of our shows for the past 20 years and is a valued member of our show orchestras.

Congratulations also goes to the two recipients of the DCS Life Members and Patrons Bursary – Joel King and Thomas McGee.

Joel was a leading player in The Wizard of Oz as Scarecrow.  He not only showed that he is a terrific talent, but he also consistently worked hard and and supported his fellow actors beautifully.

Thomas is an extremely talented multi-instrumentalist who was a standout in this year’s orchestra.  He has ambitions to become a Musical Director one day.

Both of these recipients are very deserving of the Bursary and we hope that they continue to learn about and excel in their chosen fields.
