The Devonport Choral Society invites Expressions of Interest from Directors for our 2019 musical production/s. Your Expression of Interest should include the following:

• Proposed Show  – show title, brief synopsis, casting requirements, music requirements, and licensee if known.
• Artistic Vision – how do you see your production being staged?
• Benefits – what can this show offer in the way of benefits to the Society, to local performers and audiences?
• Any other production personnel that you can bring to the production.  This is not essential but is appreciated.

Submissions are requested by Friday 23 March 2018.

Thanks to the 80+ people who came along to our YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN audition information session.  We’ve had a great response so far.

To find out more about the auditions process and the show, please read the AUDITION KIT carefully.

When auditioning, you will also need to bring your AUDITION REGISTRATION.

If you intend to audition, please call Maree on 0408 079 805, as soon as possible to secure an appointment.  You will receive additional information at that time.

The Annual General Meeting of Devonport Choral Society Inc. will be held on Monday 25 September from 7pm at Forth Primary School, 45 Wilmot Road, Forth.
We are welcoming new Committee members.
All members and interested parties are invited to attend.

An information session for those wishing to audition for Devonport Choral Society’s 2018 production of Mel Brooks’ YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN will be held at Forth Primary School Performing Arts Centre, Wilmot Road on Sunday 19 November.  The session will start at 5pm.

The information session will be a great opportunity to meet the Production Team, find out more about the show and get some tips on what the Team will be looking for at auditions.

The production will be directed by Sid Sidebottom with musical direction by Dominique Baker, vocal direction by Bronwyn Darvell, and choreography by Elizabeth Viney.

Anyone thinking of auditioning or wishing to find out more should attend.  Nominated cast to be 16 years and older.

No bookings for auditions will be taken prior to the information session and additional information is not available until then.  Auditions will be held 1 – 3 December at the same venue. Auditions are by appointment only.

Rehearsals will commence in mid-January.

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN will be performed at the Devonport Entertainment & Convention Centre 11 – 26 May, 2018.

Right On Cue are currently welcoming new members and previous choristers to celebrate their 10th year.

Join us at the Info Session for our 2017 show, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND.

To be held at the Uniting Church Hall in Steele Street, Devonport on Friday 11 November, from 7pm, the session will include information about the show, the characters and the DCS production timeline.

It will be a fantastic opportunity to meet the Production Team – Director Emil Djakic, Musical Director Petrina Jahnz, Choreographer Ruby Doherty, Assistant Director Jake Jacobson and Producer Maree Brodzinski.

Bookings for auditions will be taken on the night and can be made via phone from Saturday 12 November.

Adult roles are available and roles for children aged 8 years+.

Auditions are by appointment only and will take place from 25 – 27 November.
