Thanks to everyone who came along to our information session today.  It was a great turn out and we met lots of new people who are keen to be part of the show.

Auditions are by appointment only and will take place at Forth Primary School 21-23 September.

An information session for those wishing to audition for Devonport Choral Society’s 2019 production of DOWNTOWN! THE MOD MUSICAL will be held at Forth Primary School Performing Arts Centre, Wilmot Road on Sunday 9 September.  The session will start at 2pm.

The information session will be a great opportunity to meet the Production Team, find out more about the show and get some tips on what the Team will be looking for at auditions.

The production will be directed by Sid Sidebottom with vocal direction by Bronwyn Darvell, musical direction by Tim Squire and choreography by Elizabeth Viney.

Anyone thinking of auditioning or wishing to find out more should attend.

No bookings for auditions will be taken prior to the information session and additional information is not available until then.  Auditions will be held 21 – 23 September at the same venue. Auditions are by appointment only.

Rehearsals will commence in mid-January.

DOWNTOWN! THE MOD MUSICAL will be performed at the paranaple arts centre (Devonport Entertainment & Convention Centre) 17 May – 1 June, 2019.

The Annual General Meeting of Devonport Choral Society Inc. will be held on Monday 17 September from 7pm at Forth Primary School, 45 Wilmot Road, Forth.
We are welcoming new Committee members.
All members and interested parties are invited to attend.

Thank you to everyone that auditioned for our 2018 production of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN.
We would particularly like to thank our hardworking Production Team – Sid Sidebottom (Director), Dominique Baker (MD), Bronwyn Darvell (Vocal Director) and Elizabeth Viney (Choreographer), who put in a massive effort over the weekend.

The Devonport Choral Society invites Expressions of Interest from Directors for our 2019 musical production/s. Your Expression of Interest should include the following:

• Proposed Show  – show title, brief synopsis, casting requirements, music requirements, and licensee if known.
• Artistic Vision – how do you see your production being staged?
• Benefits – what can this show offer in the way of benefits to the Society, to local performers and audiences?
• Any other production personnel that you can bring to the production.  This is not essential but is appreciated.

Submissions are requested by Friday 23 March 2018.
