This production was a Tasmanian Premiere for A Slice of Saturday Night and a brave new experiment for Devonport Choral Society – to do a second musical in one year and to stage it outside Devonport at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre.
A Slice of Saturday Night began life in the UK in 1991 and has endured as a popular musical comedy that takes the audience spinning back to the swinging decade to celebrate the eternal embarrassment of girls in mini skirts and men in Chelsea boots.
